How long have you been blogging?
I began blogging in March of 2008
What inspired you to start blogging?
Before I started blogging, I was going on almost 5 years of running a Mommy message board called Mommies ‘N Babies. I was getting a bit bored with it and was introduced to blogging by Kristin of Our Ordinary Life, I jumped right into it and fell in love! I loved having a place of my own to write, and I’m always on the lookout for new products and chances to see items before others so review blogging was right up my alley. It also gave me a reason to bow out of my message board and pass the torch so to speak which brought on a new version of Mommies ‘n Babies over at
thelily-pad.com, I had been struggling with leaving my message board for a while but owning it for 5years it was hard to find a reason why.
What is your blog about?
My blog is pretty random. Mostly I do a lot of product reviews and giveaways, but I also blog about my own person life as a mom, wife and woman in general. I also of course blog about wrestling and my love for it, I also post about great deals I find shopping online and post daily freebies as well.
How has blogging changed your life?
It’s made me happier! I was beginning to be so unhappy with my message board, but blogging has brought out a lot in me, it’s made me realize things I CAN do, it’s helped me jump out of my shell just a little more in real life as well as meet new friends, and experience other people’s lives as well.
What have you learned about blogging that you would like to share with others?
Make your blog your own. Don’t worry about labeling yourself, or your blog, just blog and be happy with what your doing, if your not happy or you feel constricted change it. It’s your blog, there are no rules!
